Workers’ Rights Clinic

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Washington Lawyers’ Committee has transitioned the Workers’ Rights Clinic to a telephonic legal advice service.

Any worker with an employment related matter including unpaid wages, discrimination, family and medical leave act (FMLA violations), unemployment compensation, workers’ compensation, sexual harassment, barriers to employment, and sick leave violations should contact the Workers’ Rights Clinic via phone (202) 319-1000 ext. 118 or [email protected] to schedule a telephonic intake appointment. For Spanish please call (202) 319-1000 ext. 123.

Everyone deserves to be treated fairly on the job.

Access to good jobs is essential in society’s quest to reduce poverty. Yet far too many workers in our city face discrimination that limits their access to jobs and violates their rights in the workplace.

Over the past 50 years, we have been on the forefront of upholding and expanding worker protection laws and have filed hundreds of cases and more than 60 class actions. We also advise workers in all employment-related cases including unpaid wages, overtime, sexual harassment, termination, discrimination, workers’ compensation, family and medical leave, and pension benefits, as well as criminal records.
