Elinor Hart

Coordinator, DC Public School’s Partnership Project

Elinor Hart has served as the Coordinator of the Committee’s DC Public School’s Partnership Project since the summer of 2009.  Her extensive experience with the project includes editing the program’s semi-annual newsletter, Partners Unlimited Bulletin Board, which she helped launch in 1997. She has also produced several videos and DVDs about the program.

Ms. Hart’s involvement with the DC Public Schools includes serving on the steering committees of Play Start, which raised funds for and built a pre-school playground at her neighborhood school - Bancroft Elementary, and the School Modernization Campaign. She also served on the broad-based committee that drafted the current social studies Standards of Learning and worked with high school principals and teachers to recruit youth poll workers and register high school seniors to vote.

For several summers, Ms. Hart taught DC History and Government to DC Public school teachers seeking to keep their certifications current.
