Caitlin Russi joined the Washington Lawyers’ Committee in March 2024. As Housing Justice Counsel, Caitlin’s work is focused on removing systemic barriers to safe and stable housing in the District. She represents tenants advocating for habitable housing conditions and pushing back against discriminatory practices.
Prior to joining WLC, Caitlin spent over five years as an attorney with DC’s Children’s Law Center (CLC). As part of CLC’s medical-legal partnership, she represented parents and caregivers advocating for their children’s health. Caitlin litigated housing conditions, special education, and public benefits cases, among other issue areas. Caitlin also spent time as Attorney Advisor with DC’s Office of Administrative Hearings and Law Clerk with DC Superior Court’s Landlord Tenant Branch.
