Nadya Harrison joined the Washington Lawyer’s Committee in September 2023 as the Housing Justice Advocate/Investigator. In this position she works to protect the rights of District of Columbia tenants to organize to address housing issues and to pursue the racial and economic justice objectives of organized tenants.  

 

Nadya graduated from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Social Policy and Practice. She is passionate about social justice and community organizing. In the past, she interned for the Sierra Club where she worked alongside grassroots, community organizations in Louisiana campaigning for environmental justice. She has also worked for the Mayor of Annapolis, MD and Tulane University’s School of Public Health.
