Sarah L. Bessell joined the Committee as Counsel in January 2022, and supervises the Committee’s Workers’ Rights Clinic.
Prior to joining the Committee, Ms. Bessell was the Deputy Director of the Human Trafficking Legal Center. There, she provided training and technical assistance for immigration and civil human trafficking cases, and managed the international strategic litigation program. Ms. Bessell has authored publications on the intersections of human trafficking and corruption, diplomatic immunity, persons with disabilities, and domestic violence. Prior to this, she worked on international conflict resolution issues at the U.S. Institute of Peace.
